According to the 2000 Census, Hispanics now make up 3.5% of the population in Indiana,
with a growing presence in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties. Hispanics often face obstacles
in adjusting to life in the United States. Through action, advocacy, and involvement, the
Hispanic Connection reaches out to those who might feel isolated and afraid by addressing their
educational, legal, social, physical and emotional needs, including issues of human rights.
We thus provide the arena for an exchange of opinions and a better understanding between both groups.
