Outreach in other counties:
Through the support of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the parishes of the New Albany Deanery, the Hispanic Ministry has spread to all three counties. St. Michael Church in Charlestown has a Spanish mass on Sunday at 5:00pm each week. Fr. Steve Schaftlein is studying Spanish and taking more initiative, and Fr. Tom Smith goes twice a month or more to assist with the Eucharist, planning, Reconciliation and other aspects. Even though she knows limited Spanish, Juliann Eickholtz has organized the religious education for both Anglo and Hispanic children and engages the parents in the process as well. More recently, Julie Cisne has been hired to work part time to guide the outreach to the Spanish speaking community and coordinate liturgical and other events.

In Corydon, St. Joseph Church has hosted a Spanish mass for several years. It started just once a month, then twice a month, then when Fr. Dan Atkins arrived as pastor, it became a weekly service at 4:30pm. Leticia Milken and more recently Maria de Lourdes Cuevas are working to further develop the ministry and the growth of the Hispanic community.
